Press the "Home" button on the remote to go to the "cross bar" -> then go to "Settings" -> then "Set Up" -> then "Factory Settings" and select "Restore Factory Settings" -> upon completion the OSD will start in Set Up Mode -> select "Home" on the Shop Display page.
Unfortunately when I go into settings there is no mention of factory settings - any other ideas?

This can indicate a problem with the high voltage circuits. Since this is a new set, it should still be under warranty. DO NOT open up the unit as that will void the warranty. Return the set or request warranty service. Note the 8 blinks when you request service as that should allow them to bring the correct replacement parts.
