I have HP Jornada 520 and I used to connect to desktop using serial cable. I bought a USB sync cable which was for Jornada 525/548 and tried to connect to my desktop but the PDA isn't detected through Active Sync software on USB port. I have the latest version of Active Sync from Microsoft. The USB cable is from iConcepts company by the name "HOT SYNC CABLE". I am wondering if it is possible to connect Jornada 520 through USB connection or the cable I have is not compatible. Usually 525 series accessories are compatible with 520 model. Please tell me what I could be doing wrong or is there way to make it work.
This may be a simple case of removing all the entire active sync directory. If you used to connect via serial+com it wont be detected on usb. Remove active sync from your pc via the add remove program feture, then reboot and re install. Then run the make a connection again from active sync. Hope this helps
