    I never had a problem with this camera up until yesterday, and I see you just posted the same problem...coincidental??? I wonder.

    Having similar problem on my Samsung Digimax A7. New batteries (no matter alkaline or re-chargeble), can only take about 7 to 10 photos and the camera will shown 'low batteries' and shut down.

Check the mili amp hour rating on your batteries!

The A7 can work with standard AA batteries so you could just pack several extra sets.

Without knowing what country you're in and what country you're traveling to, I can't give you any specific recommendations, but a local electronics or office-supply store should have a selection of adapters to fit the plug of your charger into foreign power outlets. I found one at a nearby Radio Shack for my upcoming overseas trip.

Camera of this type are usually considered-'Consumable'
Like small radio DVD players toaster and kettles if it gets broken you buy the next one.
If it fail in service under warranty is it replaced complete - there will be no parts.

Does your battery work with regular AA alkaline batteries ? They have higher voltage than NiMH rechargeable. I'm having a similar problem, just discovered today that my camera works fine with AA alkaline batteries.
