Hello, my lg optimus swift is not working correctly. when i turn on the phone, sometimes it displays this sorry! the application Android Phone (process com.android.phone) has stopped unexpectedly. please try again FORCE CLOSE similar things happen when i open certain applications. any solutions? thanks

My lg optimus swift is not working correctly. when i turn on the phone, sometimes it displays this sorry! the application Android Phone (process com.android.phone) has stopped unexpectedly. And it not receiving or sending any calls with the signal only dropping.

Try this first:

  1. Quickly, after pressing "close" to the 'force close' box, open Settings. You will need to act quickly before the next force close message comes up.
  2. Next, Press application ---> manage application---> All.
  3. Scroll down to "launcher."
  4. Select force stop & power off the phone immediately.
You can also try:
  1. Open the Market.
  2. Next, download and install LauncherPro or ADW.Launcher.

You should performed the Hard reset. Follow this steps. First turned off your phone then turns it on again by pressing and holding End Key + Send Key + Down volume key at the same time for 10 seconds and release all keys. The phone will turn on and perform hard reset immediately.

Note: Hard Reset will remove all the data and applications on your phone and cannot be reversed.

Go to LG solutions online chat. They had me . . . plug my phone into the charger, then take the battery out, then unplug the charger and plug it back in three times real fast and then put the battery back in and turn it on which does a soft reset without losing data. It seemed to work.

Ok, I would say to reset your phone by code, just dial
  • Dial 3845#*54#
  • Now select Factory reset
But obviously it won't work because Android is corrupted.

How do i hard reset my metro pcs lg android phone
Try this:

  1. Turn the power off. If your LG Optimus M is frozen, pull the battery out and reinsert it
  2. Hold the Home and Volume Down button
  3. Press and hold the Power button until the device turns on
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to reset your device
 All data including third-party applications will be deleted from the LG Optimus M. Once the wipe is complete, the phone will reboot to its factory fresh state.

To get Skyfire, launch the Marketplace application on your Android phone and search for "Skyfire". Skyfire 3.1 requires an Android 2.x device which is what you have.
