The unit will not turn on after trying the pushing the power button. The green light on the reset button shows that it is on but on the display not lights are on. I tried to inplug and wait and plug the unit back in but nothing happen. This unit is a heat/cool 18,000btu window unit.

Instructions

1. • 1 Switch the Canon MX310 off using the "Power" button, then push the "Stop/Reset" button on the control panel. Hold the button down for about five seconds.
     
   • 2 Push the "Power" button while holding "Stop/Reset." Hold down both buttons for five seconds.
     
   • 3 Release "Stop/Reset" while holding down the "Power" button.
     
   • 4 Push "Stop/Reset" twice while continuing to hold the "Power" button. Release the "Power" button. The power light will turn green.
     
   • 5 Once the light is steady green, push "Stop/Reset." Wait about three seconds and push it again. Wait three more seconds and push it one final time, for a total of three times. The power light will turn orange.
     
   • 6 Push the "Power" button, then lift the MX310 cover open.
     
   • 7 Remove both ink cartridges and wait 10 seconds. Replace the cartridges and close the MX310 cover. Wait 30 seconds.
     
   • 8 Push the "Power" button. Wait a few seconds to allow the printer to fully power down, then switch the Canon MX310 back on using the "Power" button.
     

Sounds like either a blown mainpower fuse or the thermal fuse for the power transformer. If the protect circuit was kicking in, the display would light up, but then turn off with a red blinking light. the green light with no display means the transformer is not getting power.

Please reset the Printer by following these steps:

Switch the Canon MX310 off using the "Power" button, then push the "Stop/Reset" button on the control panel. Hold the button down for about five seconds.

Release "Stop/Reset" while holding down the "Power" button.

Push the "Power" button, then lift the MX310 cover open.

Remove both ink cartridges and wait 10 seconds. Replace the cartridges and close the MX310 cover. Wait 30 seconds.

Push the "Power" button. Wait a few seconds to allow the printer to fully power down, then switch the Canon MX310 back on using the "Power" button.

Try hard reset of printer by shutting it down while power is applied to it. then push and hold the power button for about a minute or so. then replug it and turn on to see if it has been reset. If not you will have to contact the manufacturer for the "hidden" code to reset your unit.

Power button operation is just one push to turn on, one push to turn off. If light is green, unit is on. Or is there another issue?

The reset button on the power cord has to be really pushed in until you feel a click. It is a soft button, so you might think you have pushed it in enough but you must feel the click. After the first reset you no longer have to press the button unless you have other electrical power issues that trip the button.

Green light but no display- most likely main transformer is gone (60%), 35%- blown main fuse, 5%- bad display or power supply. You are lucky if unit is still under warranty. Solution- repair shop.

Fault at its main digital board. Short circuited component/s at it. Contact any service technician; or the authorized service center. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. push power on at button (no need to hold button)and press proceed button for 2 secounds at the same time you turn on power and it should reset.

reset the device by pushing the reset button near the plug on the bottom of the unit , then it will come on i presume you upgraded by the internet you need to use a paper clip to reset the unit
