I just got my Sennheiser HD205 II yesterday and when i opened the box and tried the headphones, their was no sound from the left ear cup, I thought it was my phones fault (might not be getting enough power) then i tried it on my laptop, same result, then i tried it with my other laptop, same result. Don't know what to do.

You may want to check to ensure the cables for each if the ear pieces is plugged in completely. On some models, they can disconnect.

The two copper wires on your headphones are independent grounds for each channel. Twist them together and attach them to the ground cable ( black) of the new plug. The colored wires of the headphone correspond to the live wires of each channel, and the plug should have the same colors. Wiring together the grounds will not affect in any way the stereo separation, it is just that each ear needs its own ground. Cheaper headsets just transfer the ground from one ear to the other one through the metal headband.

SOURCE: Sennheiser TR136 Wireless Headphones Nothing Happens

I had a similar problem - after owning them for 4+ years, no sound we coming out, and no beeps -- nothing. The lights on the charger stand were on though.

I tried buying new rechargable AAA batteries and they were NIMH (nickel metalhydride?) and still didnt work. I borrowed a friend's pair of NICM (nickel cadmium?) AAA rechargables though and the problem was solved!

So, it would seem the some of the new chargable battery types might not work in older models of this unit (which is also called the RS 130 now in the US and Cdn web sites).

Hope this helps!

There's no sound coming out from left earphone

Try your headphones in a different audio device. If the problem persists than the headphones have a split in the wiring for the left earbud. If you are under warranty then Sennheiser will happily repair your headphones.
