My screen acts as if it's on energy-saving-mode but doesnt activate...

Had the screen for about 2½ years now. Worked like a charm until a week ago. It sarted acting as if it's on energy-saving-mode. Just that it doesn't activate when I move the mouse etc. Same thing if it does enter energy-saving-mode, it doesnt activate as it should.
Also seems as if the time for it to activate is increasing each time.

Might add that it's like this when I start the computer as well (incl turning the monitor power on). Just a black screen. Only thing that gives away that it isnt shut off is the blinking of the power light. The blinking isn't quite like it is on power-saving-mode though. Seems as if the periods with it lighted up are longer then the periods with it not lighting up.

And like I said before, the time for it to activate increases for each time it's been shut off.

Hi there, I've got the same problems described as above. I've been using my monitor for alittle more than 3 years. At first, the picture will appear after 20 minutes or so, especially when I have switched the settings for the screensaver on window xp. But now it doesn't work at all even if I leave it at that for the entire day.

Same problem, 930BF about 3 and a half years old. For a week or two I had it happen where it would take 10 or more minutes to activate, but now it doesn't come on at all. Unplugging it for a while didn't help, neither did disabling screen saver and idle mode. The other screen on the same computer (different model) works fine.

Check and reset the Screen Saver to the settings you want, even if its set properly. Did this work?

If not, reset the monitor to factory defaults to flush its memory.

If that doesn't work unplug the monitor for a minute and replug.

Master and Slave cylinder will not require often replacements until they replaced it with some cheap ones. With new master and slave, you still need to bleed the system to make sure there is not any air bubbles present in the system that might prevent it from proper functioning.

This sounds like a common problem on these TVs (it's happened to both of my AOC TVs a couple times). Try a factory reset:

1. Press and hold "Menu" and "Channel+" on the TV. (do not use the remote)
2. Using the other hand, press the Power button.
3. A small screen should appear in the top left part of the screen.
4. Using the remote, select "Memory Recall" and Enter.
5. Power off and reboot the TV and Computer.
6. Run channel auto-scan to regain the picture.

When the laptop starts up press function key F2. You need to do this before the Windows logo appears.

You should be in the BIOS. Locate the Energy Setting and disable it. Once Windows loads, go to the Control Panel, click PowerOptions, and turn off energy saving when computer is plugged in.
