remove the serpentine belt depends on vehicle. but for most you just need a wrench to take tention off the tentioner and remove belt. it does help if you borrow a tentioner tool from local parts store

on serpentine belt loosen belt tentioner - remove old belt- mount new belt- tighten belt tentioner. you may also want to check if there is any slack in the tentioner pulley as these often wear out too
