shaft, I have tried everything I can think of. Tried an impacked, tap with a hammer, have let lay on its side an soaked with oil around it, and some heat nothing works any help wopuld be great thanks.

shaft. If it still will not go into first gear, the bike has a bent shift fork. The case must be split to get to the fork. Somewhat expensive to repair. Be sure to install new crank bearings and seals
