no transmission just installed new batteries in a set that was last used last year . will not transmit or receive ?? Bad transmitter, you might need to get a new set.

should the radios be on or off while charging? Uniden suggests that the radios be switched OFF while charging. Leaving them ON won't hurt anything, but it will extend the charge time. BillB
