My staples QW 120D says ready, but will not run....

staples QW 120D says ready, but will not run.... Power on- screen says ready, but when paper is inserted, nothing happens. If rewind button is pressed, it will rewind, but not forward for shredding...

I have the Staple Model SPL QW 1200 Paper Shredder. I can not get the open door light to go off and shredder to work again. Shredder will not work with open door light on.
