My Dynatel 965 will not turn on, and I've put in good batteries.. help!
Does it do anything? Do you hear the beep when you press the ON/OFF button or is it totally dead? Unplug the battery. Plug the battery back in. Try it again If that doesn't work, you can carefully open the case. Take a picture of which plugs go where. Be gentle with the ribbon cables for the display and the keypad. Inspect the boards for any obviously burnt or damaged components. Look for cold solder joints. Make sure all the wires are in good shape and that they're connected correctly. I haven't been able to get a service manual or a schematic anywhere myself but if you have either of those, you can troubleshoot further. Call around to local test equipment repair shops and see if they're familiar with the 965DSP. Probably won't be cheap and parts may be an issue due to its age. Used DSPs are cheap on eBay. I just bought 3 for $45 and was able to put together one with the spectrum analyzer/ADSL modem options. Good luck!

Wire loose inside receiver or blown speaker. Sometimes road dirt can get into unit speaker holes and clog it up.
WEATHER STATION AC100MB stops transmitting outdoor temp
I have experienced the same with numerous different, "quote un quote" atomic clocks! Please don't forget that this sender unit, that goes outside, generates a RF Singal to be received by the clock inside. This unit transmits a signal 433 MHz signal approximately every. 3 minutes, and after so many years the sender unit's RF section(electronics) just goes out or no longer function properly or not at all! The transmitter/sender for this model number, according to "3M" is obsolete and can no longer be furnished, DRATTS !!!!!
Need user manual for w5746
Same exact features, buttons and functions as this manual by Irwin.

Will one of the newer sensors work in place of my 1457 sensor?
It's possible that one of the newer sensors could work in place of your 1457 sensor, but it depends on the specifications of the newer sensors and the compatibility with your base unit. The I MAX1457 sensor, which is a highly integrated analog-sensor signal processor optimized for piezoresistive sensor calibration and compensation. However, I have no information about its compatibility. If you're looking for a replacement sensor, I suggest contacting the manufacturer of your base unit to inquire about compatible sensors. Alternatively, you can check the user manual of your base unit to see if it lists compatible sensors. Garage door opener sensors are not universal. Safety sensors can only communicate with garage door openers from the same brand.
