The blade latch may be broken or not engaging correctly

It might just be your blade needs a good clean up sharpen and adjustment.

Make sure you are putting the blades on with the clippers running otherwise the blade will not locate correctly. Failing that it could b e a broken 'latch' AGC

try moving the power cord where it exists the clipper, if it shows any sign of starting up then its probably a faulty cable.

they dont make a 5 speed thats probably why.

Try giving the blade an extra 1/2 a turn of tension, done by turning the red knob 1/2 a turn clockwise. It sounds as though the blades are jamming up which could be a lack of tension.

If it's new, why not contact the seller for a refund?

You need to replace the motor and the PCB. The motor is drawing too much current, that's what has wrecked the PCB. If the armature is a separate available part rather than a complete motor then it will be the armature you need.

Sounds like your motor went out. You might as well buy new clippers for the price to fix them. One thing that causes that is when you spray your coolant to not hold your clippers blade up. Keep them blade down. The coolant can run into your clippers and burn them up. You only want to use grease inside your clippers.

whilst pushing the release button (latch) you must also pull the front of the blade away from the clipper.

sometimes it is the blade and not the clipper

Try the fuse in the plug first then try to move the cable where it enters the clippers it may just be a faulty cable. Otherwise it will need stripping apart and testing, Sorry

Make sure the blade is connected to the clipper correctly, if you can pull the blade off without pressing the black release latch then you need to push the blade on further.

Most common cause will be the blades have gone dull and should be sharpened or replaced. Check that the 2 screws on the blade latch assy are tight where it screws onto the front housing, blade off to check them. 3rd thing to check is for excessive wear in the lever that drives the blades, if it is worn replace it.
