I have a Sanyo Xacti 10 MP that records with date and time but when I put the SD card in my Apple laptop and download the videos, the date and time seems to not stay on the videos.

Power the mac on whilst holding down the keys. Release the keys when the globe shows and select your router code then download the OS for your mac.
Install the OS.

There is a matrix missing, if all was OK before battery replacement, the keyboard has been damaged.
Probably not ecconomical for apple to repair. Look for a complete keyboard for your exact model on fleabay and when you get it, try not to damage the cables again.
