Asko front loader can I take off hose to use tap
If your dishwasher uses a quick connect hose to the faucet, you can disconnect it while the dishwasher is running ONLY IF the water is shut off and pressure release button is pushed in to release water pressure inside hose. If the dishwasher is calling for water, it will accommodate for a short loss of time. Remember to turn water back on when hoses are reconnected.

I had to slide the dishwasher forward (undercounter installation)and tip it forward as far as possible. Water leaks onto floor, but then the internal controller seems to reset and the ASKO now works normally again. What kind of idiot would design a control module that does not incorporate a power-off interlock? FAIL FAIL FAIL - Bad, ASKO, Bad. Go to your room.
Our ASKO washing machine won't work.
Edited text for clarity. Moved Category form Drills to Asko washing machineThat is a power leakage to earth. It is either a fault with the motor or a damaged wire.
Asko 20004 washes but won't spin
This is a motor fault issue.
As I don't know your ability in repairing or what tools you possess.
Simple solution: other then have a repairman do this, the motor has something causing a fault. The vast majority of times in an asko because the motors spin at high speeds then most others is that the brushes wear out. So they most likely need a repair. Turn off machine, remove motor replace brushes.
There other possibilities such as electrical problems but I reckon brushes are the problem, could cost $60 for the pair and takes maybe an hour or two depending the skill of the person attempting.
This is not complex just dirty
I do not endorse repairing any appliance without proper experience in repairing appliances. This is only informative.
My 10-year-old Asko dryer will heat but will not always start spinning. I've always been able to get it to start eventually when I've had that problem, which has been happening on and off for maybe two years, by opening the door back up and spinning the drum a few times by hand one way or the other, or one way and then the other, and then closing the door and trying again. Sometimes I have to do that multiple times but I've always been able to get it going. Not now. It doesn't seem like it's going to start at all an one.
I kind of doubt the belt is broken because there's still quite a bit of resistance when I spin the drum.
I'm thinking it may be a problem with the switch which is a push button thing, maybe failed contacts inside it? I say that because sometimes when I am trying to get it to start, I'll push the button and nothing happens, the time display doesn't even light up. But then I try it again and it tries to start, making a sort of whirring or humming noise and heating up but not spinning. In the past, it would eventually start spinning after I tried that approach enough times, sometimes waiting for the dryer to cool down between attempts.
Any thoughts on this?
My phone has a terrible camera and it's dark where my washer is but at least this photo will give you an idea of the type of start button my dryer has. That's the time display above it; it still works with the dryer on and the door closed but it makes the problem with the flash and reflection in taking the photo even worse! Thanks for any thoughts or advice you can provide.
