How do i fix a modulation problem D 104 TUG8 mic
Oh yes the D-104 lolly pop microphone. I had many of them and found a problem with some of them. They use a Chrystal cartage and when they go bad then the audio level drops. You will have a big time to try and find another cartage, in fact I sold one that was still in it's original round box about two months ago.
Good luck
How to wire an astatic 877hl to a kenwood ts 930s
download the trios manual and connections chart then connect the black and screen to the ground of the plugin socket using a bridge wire ie connect black and screen on the mic then connect them to a small bridge wire then to the ground pin and also the moto plugs metals then usualy white or yellow is audio and orange or brown it TX switching
you can use a multimeter and connect its negative to the ground and set the meter to beep test or low ohms then as i say orange or brown press the TX pedel a low ohms or beep indicates the TX switching the rest is carefull wireup just be warned most ham radios will supply 12v or 9v to the mic socket up and down etc if you have these controls are data so will just read like 10k when pressed relative to ground so you need to set the meter to 20k range etc to get these controls
good luck and post how you got on
Where can I get it fixed?
go to Rad Shack and buy a small three way switch and put it in yourself. Is it stuck on the high end or the low? If its the high end you can still get a low reading from it. To have someone fix it may just cost as much as a new meter. So,you might think about getting a new one because you won't find another like it on the market. You can get a dosy 4002 or an astatic 600 but I'm 100% sure there are no 700's .I think workman has a twin to it but thats all I can tell you .
What the power to to mo sparkmatic5100 cb radio
1N148 , should be located where the electrical power wires come into the radio. try replacing it and it should work. also put a fuse on both wires that give your radio power. then you should never blow another fuse.
