Usb device not recognized, works only when plugged on hub
All PCs provides power supply via USB port. The power is controlled by electronic circuit. Sometimes when overloaded the circuit burns out (the last controlling transistor, actually). This does not prevent the data communication, because it is separated circuit. But if the device is not powered it cannot communicate. When you plug the USB device to powered USB hub, then all go right. Are you able to use the USB ports with other USB-powered devices like USB sticks, mouses, cameras? If not, the mentioned circuit is burned out. If they work OK, then your internal USB hub provides less power current than needed. In both cases there is nothing to do. The circuit resides on the mainboard of the laptop and replacement is expencive. Use it with that external USB hub you have.

Price inverter for your laptop screen. Have it professionally installed unless you know hardware, static, etc. It can be a big job with some laptops being completely dismantled to access the inverter. I've done quite a few. Some laptops have a bezel that is very difficult to open. (Like working on a dollar store toy--only it costs $1000!

Hi there,
I usually go to this site for all my notebook batteries:
http://www.battdepot.com/
The batteries have never failed me before. If you are outside of the US, this site has a Canadian, Australian, and singapore site as well. There is also a global site for it but I am not sure of all the countries they ship to. I hope this helps!
