It's possible that the driver file that you installed from, was corrupt or didn''t install all the files properly.
Restart the computer and keep pressing the F8 function key till you get the Windows boot menu. You'd get an option saying "Safe Mode with Networking". Press the arrow keys to highlight it and then press the Enter key.
Now uninstall the driver that you installed. You can do this from the Device Manager. Click Start and in the Run box, type devmgmt.msc and then press the Enter key. In Device Manager, double-click Video Controllers, and then right click the listed ASUS driver and click Uninstall.
