Warning SCAM DO NOT CALL THESE NUMBERS. These phony support numbers send you to criminal call centers where they will install malware, steal ID and/or extort money from you . Only ever use the support contacts from the official company website

ask them?

first off only Asus.com knows this, ask them,
reasons is.?
1: the BIOS must be updated first, to use other CPU (fact)
2: after the update there is a new qualified, CPU list by ASUS. QVL
3: the motherboard, electronics must like it too (bridge chips)
4: TPD rules (q8400 is 95watts)
now you know the rules 4.
so ask them, there are also MOBO version too, that can get in the way, v1, and v2 motherboard.

page 1. not listedfor quad.
LGA775 socket for Intel® Core™2 Duo/Pentium D/Pentium 4/Celeron D
so why not read the asus support page first (1st google hit)

https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P5SD2VM/HelpDesk_CPU/
only the maker knows this due to many BIOS versions.

Shows bios v510 up does. clear as day.

hello hyjacker this post and OPS other identical post on why F2 repeats, this is COMMON !
first take out that relic and bad large battery.
run on AC pack only, still dead?
?
http://pcdied.com/dead-PC.html

the PC is now 9 years old
the RTC COIN CELL BATTERIES, mostly do not go past 7 years, seen 10 happen, but is not PAR,
life span is 5 to 7 years.! facts.
so replace that first,
then reset bios next.
and test on AC Pack only, until the PC runs right again do not use the useless 9 year old HUGE BATTERY, oK?
then make sure boot order in BIOS
shows HDD , in the list.
or the HDD is dead.

the coin cells dead will cause many PC
to stick at BIOS screens, after all it cant find the boot order configurations with that battery dead.
once that is cured, you can boot windows
if the HDD still works.
on some pCs you can hit F2 and it loads BIOS defaults and boots.
but after powering down, all that is lost and all this above repeats.
the service manual on your PC covers this.
but I can not find that manual anywhere...
how to replace your RTC Coin cell.?
here it is, remove any hatches to reach it.
RTC is on the bottom
see yellow blob this is your exact mobo.
this is the bottom side of mobo
open hatches on bottom of PC to gain access.
I see 1 huge hatch in our manual, at asus.
no 2 laptops are the same unless they are exact model. so learn to find it using below photo.

all I have are questions.
did you upgrade your PC to10?
did you load Honestech from scratch now.(not your 2.5 , but V3?
https://www.honestech.com/main/SoftwareUpdates.asp
did you get the w8 version or after update, seems not.
did you attempt to load it in W10 (w8 ) compatibility mode.?
ask the maker yet, seems not. (we are not them we do not sell software or updates)

check using the onscreen keyboard or you can also check with an external keyboard to see if the same issue occurs with those. if it does the issue could be a software related. you can go to device manager, under keyboards uninstall the Keyboard Device and restart the computer.

if you can not remember the password than the ownly thing you can do is a reset (according to manual) than you will be able to log in using default user and password (YOU WILL LOOSE ALL SETTINGS) so you will have to re configure the router...

Have fun!

ASUS WIRELESS... | Answered on Oct 02, 2019

Hi,

In order to access the web interface of the router you should know the IP address of the router. Please try the following steps to check the ip address on the computer which is connected with the router (wired/wireless doesn’t matter).

1. Click on start the go to run and try cmd and click on ok.
2. Type ipconfig and press enter.
3. look for the default gateway numbers.

the default gateway is the address of the router. Open internet explorer and type http://default gateway numbers (for example http://192.168.1.1)

It should take you to the web interface of the router on which authentication is needed. The default user name and password is admin and admin.

Let me know if it help.

Default password normally "admin" without the quotes.

If you cant get in, do a hard reset of your router by pressing the small button inside the tiny hole - use a paper clip press gently for 30 seconds.

Thanks for your question

Enrique Javier... wants answers to this question
nice hyjack the other post means nothing, not clear at all
so you piggyback this lame post, why not start your own posts with your own facts,
what PC, is it exactly
and why do you need to disable something
you do know that the OS does all that the keyboard has no brain in any laptop K51. ever.
the keyboard is only a matrix of switches, the OS in the PC
translates key switch closers to any thing thing it wants..
in fact there are 50 keyboards for 50 countries.
next time just tell what you don't like a windows short cut>
you never told what short cut you don't like.
it seems the keyboard is bad, that is what I think.
and very common on laptops for sure THIS OLD.
one simple way to prove that is remove the matrix keyboard from the laptops and connect any USB keyboard to the USB port and now the keyboard works perfectly, see? it does.
proving cause or the cure.
the cable too in side the laptop can fail, be loose or the jack the ribbon cable plugs in to is cracked, also common. (bad service)
