what is it, ?
2013 made, M means mobile
black screens , Asus logo dead, screen dead black ,BIOS dead. login dead, with power button held for 10 full seconds. ok?

sure it is dead are not all that old dead, for all this classic reasons due to ITS AGE.
1-the big huge battery is bad, remove it run on AC power pack only even forever. battery here can short and overload power.

2: coin cell battery inside dead, as all are this old. replace it.
7 year max and is close to end of life.
3; HDD dead, as most are this old (unless parked as a hanger queen unused for decade) we run smart tests on it.
4: CCFL lamps behind LCD DEAD> not your PCl. yours is LED good.,

so do the long reset first, big battery out , AC pulled
push power for 30 seconds, release
put back AC pack only , and see that BIOS works
report if the all BIOS hot keywork next with SCREENS BIOS all working, this is first step on all PC made this.
(not apple bs)
The bios most work even with HDD removed.
remove all USB toys first.

It may seem obvious, but to many it is not. To many new notebook computer owners, it is not as easy as it looks to play DVDs in their new Acer laptops. In my line of work, I get this question frequently. So here are a few quick, simple steps to get you on your way to be able to play DVDs in Acer laptops.

Check to see if your Acer laptop has the capability to play DVDs. It will be branded with the familiar white DVD logo on the outside of the drive. This is located directly side of the laptop and has a button on the DVD drive. If it is not adorned with the DVD logo, you will be limited to only playing CDs. Push the button on your Acer once you have located the DVD drive with the logo. This creates a springing motion to eject the DVD drive. Place any DVD face up in the tray and gently push it back into your Acer laptop and then wait for it to start automatically or for a menu to appear. If the DVD in your Acer laptop will not start automatically, (or when you see the menu of choices) you will need to set it up to play automatically. In Microsoft Windows, click start, control panel, hardware and sound and then select autoplay. If you have Windows Vista Home Basic Edition, Windows Media and Real Player may not play the DVDs correctly. You may want to download a free media player from Place a tick in either windows software or the all software box on the home page you should see a search tab just type in what you are looking for IE: Media Player you might have to try a few times to get it right You will then have to manually play the DVDs each time. Choose the action you wish Windows to perform each time you play a DVD on the acer laptop(from the dropdown menu). You will have at least two media players to choose from, or you can simply choose "take no action" which is good if you are not using the media player choices in that menu. Eject the DVD and reinsert it into your Acer laptop. All your DVDs should now play successfully with your chosen media player each time. Locate the controls on the bottom of your screen. They are standard DVD controls as well as a counter should you need to adjust volume or pause the DVD. You can press F11 for full screen view if you no longer need controls and are ready to watch your DVD.

It it is located at the bottom of the device.. Flip over your Zenbook carefully, and on the bottom side there will be one or two small flap doors with a screw in it the memory is under one and the HDD Drive is under the other.. Be sure to shut down and take battery out before you change or take out memory or HDD Drive.. Hope this helps.. Ian.C

Back up all necessary data on the internal memory.

If the handset is locked, frozen, or unresponsive, you can hard reset it using the hardware keys instead of the menu.

A hard reset restores the original factory settings and erases content, including downloaded ringtones, images, programs, and contacts stored in the internal memory. This feature allows for resetting of sound profiles, display settings, and phone or memory card settings.

To perform a hard reset using the hardware keys, follow these steps:

Save any open files, and back up all necessary data on the internal memory if the device is responsive and can synchronize files. See: Prepare for a master reset and back up data on Android

Turn off the phone.

Note: If the phone is unresponsive and does not turn off, remove the battery and then re-insert it.

Hold down the Volume Up, Volume Down, and Power keys simultaneously.

When the Samsung log appears, continue to hold the keys until the master reset menu appears.

Press the Volume Down key to select Delete all user data when the Android master reset menu appears.

Press the Power key to confirm your selection.

Press the Volume Down key to select Yes – delete all user data.

Press the Power key to confirm your selection.

Press the Power key to select reboot system now.

How to recover your forgotten laptop BIOS password? There are 3 methods, each method has its strength and weakness but I am going to talk about the 2 easy methods that works across the board for everyone. Here they are:
Method 1 – Remove BatteryFor desktop user, open up your computer casing and look for the battery. Remove the battery for approximately 5 minutes (maybe longer, depending on the motherboard) and slot it back. By removing the battery and deprive the motherboard’s flash memory of power supply, you are essentially resetting the settings back to default when the existing data in BIOS are cleared.

Method 2 – Reset CMOS With SoftwarePC CMOS Cleaner is the best CMOS password reset software, it works setting the BIOS to the default state or revealing the password.
reset_bios_cmos_password_motherboard_remove.jpgreset_bios_cmos_password_motherboard_remove2.jpgPC CMOS Cleaner is an easy-to-use tool to recover, delete, decode and display the superior passwords stored in BIOS whatever the brand is. Most types of BIOS are supported. It’s an bootable CD that runs on x86 and x86_64 computers. No need to pay expensive fees to experts. It’s a useful tool for users to get their lost BIOS password back, or clean passwords from an old computer bought from others.
  • Support all x86, x86_64 Personal Computers.
  • Support most BIOS, such as: AWARD, AMI, Compaq, Phoenix, Samsung, IBM, Compaq, DTK, Thinkpad, Sony, Toshiba and so on.
  • Display the superior passwords of the BIOS .
  • Remove BIOS password(will set the BIOS to default status, need reset date).
  • Set the BIOS to default state

have you updated the drivers for the WIFI adapter to the latest?

Also, there were different standards for WIFI in the past, so if your router is really old you may see issues. Is your WIFI router at the latest firmware?

updating the driver should resolve your issue.

Hello Peter, If your laptop has the connector, you must use one of them to use a 3.5-mm four-conductor headset with a microphone device, the microphone and headset function can be used at the same time.
Are you thinking about the wireless microphone? It is the other option.
