Need to factory reset my nook color
Press and hold power button and your "n" home button almost simultaneously (Power first and the "n" )
Hold these until your screen flashes the "Touch the future of Reading" message, wait 2 seconds and release buttons.
You will then get a Prompt asking you if you want to reset it to the Factory Settings. Good Luck.
Nook HD+ hard restart
Sadly, the only cure is to do a factory reset. BEFORE YOU DO THAT, realize that you may lose what you have put onto your Nook since you bought it. The good news, is that you can reclaim all the stuff you bought from Barnes&Nobel (nook.com). You only really lose the stuff you put on yourself. I suppose you have a backup of your personal stuff stored onto your computer. How do you do a hard reset? You press and HOLD the power button for about 20 seconds.
My nook did a factory reset, where are my books?
If you log into Barnes and Noble under your account, you can retrieve all your items THAT YOU BOUGHT FROM BARNES AND NOBEL. Any thing else, (free ebooks from gutenberg.org for example.) are gone.
You can back up photos, music, and non-Barnes and Noble items to your computer.
Will I loose my Library when I replace the battery
Your book from Barnes and Noble are on THEIR server under your account. Anything else you have added can be stored onto your laptop.
Generally, your items will stay in memory a long time without battery power. You should be fine IF you can remember the password to your account and your account name (an email address).
I registered my Nook color years ago but now have a different email
go to Barnes and noble website.
Log in using your old name and password.
Click on My Account (upper left corner)
Bottom of page click on Manage Account Settings (on the left)
Fill in CHANGE YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS.
IF you no longer have your password AND no longer have your email, you can not access your old account. You will have to register at Barnes and Nobel as a new account.
