turn on tv manually press and hold TV bitton until red led lite comes on enter 3 digit code for your device the lite will shut off , pree the on/off button to see if remote accepted the code. There are two types of reset to TVs. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset; and the other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight; will be better. the 11599 finally worked with my Sceptre TV. The Charter app had 1159, but did not have the last code. I tried the channel up over 50 times and it never worked. Went back to reading my searches and found it.
