Sometimes it just takes brute force to open the pump cap. Try wiggling a bit from side to side; if an odd-shaped item is lodged in there, it can really be tough (but possible!) to open.

Purchase some fabric softener and place it in its normal location at the beginning of the cycle. At the end of the cycle check to see if fabric softener has been dispensed and whether there is water in the cup.

If the fabric softener is gone, but there is water in the fabric softener cup, then your problem may be with the water valve assembly. The water valve assembly (as one complete unit) has a separate solenoid for hot and cold water temperatures, bleach and fabric softener. The fabric softener solenoid on the water valve assembly could be defective (allowing water to fill the fabric softener cup).

The e2 error is a generic error that the machine shows if it's been overloaded or if the load becomes unbalanced during a wash cycle.

to fix you must do a master reset of the washing machine. 1. Close the door and make sure the dial is pointing to the "OFF" function 2. Hold the Start/Pause button and turn the dial anti clockwise (to the left) to the "express 15 min" program at the same time. 3. Hold the Start/Pause button for a minute (the e2 message is meant to start flashing after a minute of holding the button down however with my washing machine this didn't happen) 4. Release the button and turn the dial back to the "Off" function. 5. Select any program and the message should not be appearing. --------------------------

That error is for too long of a drain time. The machine may still have water in it. You need to drain it and then check the filter and the drain hose and pump. Since you did not post the model number of the machine, that is all I can tell you

it is a motor or pcb fault this is a reset code as follows,
turn dial to off 12 0clock position then turn to 6 oclock,
press and hold the spin buttonat same time turn it to 7 oclock,continue to hold the spin buttonfor 5 seconds,release button,turn off.
next time you turn on the error code should have gone ,
if it does not work go through the proceedure again i had to try it 3 times but it does work

Gravel can't kill the motor. The motor is only connected via a drive belt. The only thing gravel can do is damage the pump as the gravel and water runs past the pump impeller! If it doesn't turn in wash (low speed), but it does spin in spin mode (high speed), my guess is the the belt needs tightening or replacing.

So basically it doesn't work at all. For a total failure like that it is likely to be the main control board, but because they are fairly expensive, you need proper diagnostics. Call for service.

Try doing a power reset. Disconnect power tonight before you go to bed. Some have a 'button press' reset procedure. Google Bosch (model) reset ..

Likely a split hose, or a hose has come off. Pull the machine out and tilt it back against the wall. Have someone hold it whilst you check with a flashlight.
