Lights up but when pressing Quick Start it automatically shows the lady liberty, etc for a moment then goes back to the Bowflex logo and nothing else. Help!

I was having the same issue to a T. I called Bowflex tech support, they told me that without a doubt the main pc board that is under the treads needed to be replaced for $515. I then trouble shot myself and got it up and running in minutes for $0. Take of the plastic top from the pc board area, unplug the little clipped in 2 wire plug labelled Fan. It litterally says fan on the board and you can see 2 wires going right to the fan. Once that is disconnected try to Quick Start. It should work. You can either replace the little fan for $6 @ radio shack or run a fan your self simply by facing your own in the same area. Most people are running a fan for themselves anyway, just aim for both. Good luck.

I keep getting error code 0AB

Error code 0AB on a Fisher & Paykel refrigerator may indicate a problem with the evaporator temperature sensor. The evaporator temperature sensor is responsible for monitoring the temperature inside the freezer compartment. If the sensor is not functioning properly, it may send incorrect temperature readings to the control board, causing the error code to appear. Some possible causes of this error code include:
  • The evaporator temperature sensor is malfunctioning and needs to be replaced.
  • The wiring connections between the sensor and the control board are loose or damaged.
  • The control board itself is malfunctioning.
If you are seeing this error code, I would recommend checking the wiring connections and the sensor and if they are ok then the control board may need to be replaced. It is best to contact a qualified technician or the manufacturer for help troubleshooting and repairing the issue, as working on refrigeration equipment can be dangerous if you are not properly trained and equipped.

I am having trouble with my Bowflex TC5000.

The motor must move the drive pulley for calibration to pass. remove rear covers and check drive belt. you should hear the lwr board relay click to engage the motor. if you hear it and the motor does not move and you have checked the belt then you need to test the motor. Typically remove the belt and turn by hand...it should be very smooth and spin freely. If not replace the motor. Direct 9 volts to the motor leads unplugged from the board will tell you if the motor is good. be careful as capacitors are present and risk of shock is always possible. capacitors stay charged for about 10 mins after unit is unplugged

I put one the first

You should be able to take off the plates by turning them the opposite direction as putting them on. If you look at the plate you'll see the grooves that lock each one together. You just need to twist the plate you want off and twist it out of the grooves. Once out of the grooves it will turn back to normal, releasing the tension on the bands inside. You can then just slide it off the bar. The perm attached 5# plate tends to turn too. You need that one to be stationary. If you can't do it alone, have someone hold the perm 5# plate steady as you turn 'off' the additional plates.

TREADCLIMBER tc5000 error code L5

Step 1:

see the comment. and fix it. Run the software calibration."SAFETY SHUTDOWN Loss of Speed Signal" or "L5" WITH NO belt movementThe speed sensor is not recognizing any motor movement. This displays the error message to the upper board. Refer to the proper flowchart.

Step 2:

The Steps for Newer Style Console Calibration:

  1. Locate the calibration area on the rear or underside of the console (a hole, near the console's center, that goes through to the electronics board. (This hole should not have a screw in it.)

  2. Insert a pencil (eraser end), into the hole and feel around for the cal button (will click when pressed).

  3. Press the button 2 times (with the pencil eraser). The first click should show CL11 in the console, the second click should show CL21.

  4. If the process was done correctly, and CL21 appears in the console, you are in "calibration mode." The next few steps consists of pressing buttons on the console and observing settings. This will not require any other tools.

  5. Press ENTER. CL22 should display in the TIME window and (??) in the SPEED window.

  6. Press ENTER. CL23 should display in the TIME window and (??) in the SPEED window.

  7. Press ENTER. CL24 should display in the TIME window and (??) in the SPEED window.

  8. Press ENTER. CL25 should display in the TIME window and (??) in the SPEED window.

  9. Press ENTER. CL26 should display in the TIME window. You should then see the letter "E."

  10. Press ENTER. You should see "SS" or "55" in the console.

  11. Push the STOP/START button. For safety, at this point, you should step off, or be off, the treadmill.

  12. Push the ENTER button. The walking belt should start to move, accelerate to maximum speed, then stop on its own.

  13. When the belt stops, the incline should self test by raising to its highest incline position, then lowering back down to its lowest position.

  14. Once the incline test is complete, push the POWER button 2 times. The unit should shut off and the console should go completely blank. If this happens, the treadmill is done calibrating and is ready for use.

  15. If the letter "F" appears in the SPEED or INCLINE window when the power button is pressed 2 times, the treadmill is indicating a failure somewhere either in the SPEED or INCLINE (depending on the window the "F" appeared in). Troubleshooting the failure would be the next step.

Err LS on Bowflex Treadmill

The machine needs to be re-callibrated. L5 error.
Your speed sensor must have been damaged either during shipping or use. You'll need a new one. If under warranty - give Bowflex a call. They will ship you out a new sensor and guide you through installing it via the phone... re-calibrating the machine... and getting it operational again. It will take about 2 hours.

The instruction book doesn't mention calibration. be sure to not callibrate in metrics, however (there's no way to easily tell the difference - you have to ask) or you'll be strolling like a walk in the park at 5 "mph".

Thanks for using FixY - a FixYa rating is appreciated!!

Treadclimber has code h05 and not working

Some things to try: 1. make sure the safety key is plugged in 2. make sure you can move the belts by hand, that nothing is seized up 3. make sure the i/o cables running from the console, through the upright, and back to the control board, are all connected together securely and have not been damaged. 4. make sure the red and black motor wires are connected to the the control board.

My question was about the bowflex ct5000 step climber piston shocks leaking why?

The hydraulic shocks found on exercise machines aren't very different to the shocks found on cars, bikes and trucks or even inside some washing machines - the ones on display on bikes and exercise machines are better finished and nicer to look at. Your question is asked everyday by thousands of vehicle owners who also want to know why shocks leak. I have a theory, but it is just a theory - If a telescopic shock absorber is going to leak they mostly start leaking while relatively young. I think very few leak because the seal is worn out - a very few do and that happens after a long service life. I think in some cases it could be the quality of the seal or the way it is fitted but my theory is about the ambient temperature, the temperature of the components and the temperature of the oil that fills the shock. It is possible during manufacture a certain volume (rather than a weight) of oil is placed in each shock and at certain times, such as first thing after the weekend, in the winter perhaps, the oil will be cold so when the finished item meets hot weather the fluid expands and the level could rise enough to overwhelm the seal...

Pulley system "off track" inside main frame of 2005 boflex revolution

I had same problem. I fixed it by taking plastic sides off using a long phillips head screwdriver. Jay, you don't have to take the sides off to fix your problem. The sides come off only to untangle and rewind cables on pulleys. Pull the cables all the way out. Have a helper pull out and keep holding out the tension knob This is shown at the bottom of page nine in the manual. With someone holding the tension knob out turn the large pully located beneith the tension knob CLOCKWISE! I screwed mine up by turning it counter-clockwise. This winds the handle to the top and if you start with all the cable pulled off the pully, the cable should then wind itself nicely back onto the pully. Once the handle is all the way up, with the round ball on the cable jammed up against the pully, then and only then let go of the tension knob and let it fall back into place. If the handle falls down a few inches repeat this proceedure but push lower pully a bit harder and try to turn tension knob, while it is pulled out, in the opposite direction and it will then click into place one notch tighter and should hold the black ball on the cable firmly against the pulley. Let me know if this was helpful.
