Did you un-installed the previous graphic driver? Quick remody:
keep pressed the power button of the cpu and press again to start the computer.

2.Disconnect you printer.
3. Shut down and restart you computer.

Well, when scanning, you can save it as different files, (e.g PDF). Well the only thing you have to do is to scan it and then click on ´save as´ and choose the specific file of your choice. Glad to help.

In most cases the printer driver software can have errors while being in use or is shut down. So to reset remove your printer from the PC and uninstall the printer software. Now reinstall the printer software and then connect the Printer to be detected as a new hardware as it will be installed. Now check the printer properties to see the ink levels.
Activate head cleaning before a test is taken . Sometimes it is possible that the head is not reacting to the need of the PC command or can be an issue with ink drying or poor ink cartridge contacts.

The machine won't scan unless both cartridges are installed and have a good supply fof ink in them. I know the ink level has nothing to do with the scanning procedure, but Brother has them coded to where they will not work unless both cartridges are present and full of ink. Replace the cartridge and it should scan just fine.

When you open the door where the toner cartridge goes, there is a unit attached to the toner cartridge called the drum. When you pull them out, on the edge of the drum that goes into the machine first, there should be a small blue tab with an arrow on it either on the right or left side of the drum, and there is a small wire leading out from under it. This is the corona wire. Dislodge the blue tab and slide it back and forth along the wire, then return it to the side from which it came, the arrows should line up.

It would require that you have a scanner, installer proper scanning software that comes with said scanner, and then running it where it will give you information on where to save the scan.
