depends on the age of the baby , if it's mother won't take care of it and if in doubt it can handle pigeon feed , then cooked oatmeal, small earth worms, fruit, veggies ground up....it's a baby bird ,let your common sense be your guide

Bad Habits are very hard to brake once they have got away with it.!!! Cockatiel's are chewers, get the bird some apple limbs, plum, (no cherry wood) that are known not to have been sprayed or anything you can get the bird to chew on. The trick is for you to not let them get away with it , you half to be vigilant about it , show them , tell them, scold them but be sure to Praise them on good behavior, do not reward bad behavior, cage lock the bird for time outs for bad behavior... good luck !! <:0}

HELLO. i do this all the time in the summer and we have lost of the little critters.i dont use to much thow,just enough to change the colour.i have never found or seen any of them suffering from any sighns of disstress.after all we eat it .just make it less .hope i helped .thay will appreciate it im sure.GOOD LUCK.M.M.
