Can f2100 remote work on my dishtv box?
The F2100 remote is not explicitly listed as compatible with the AerialBox T2100, I recommend using the remote that came with your AerialBox T2100 for optimal functionality. If you have any specific compatibility concerns, I suggest reaching out to Dish TV customer support for further assistance.
How to open the slave speaker on a bx1221
I was able to sucessfully open my BX1221 speakers by prying off the front cap, then prying off the silver support. They are locked in with a plastic snap, and sealed with a little bit of stretchy glue. The plastic snaps are top, bottom, left and right; 4 of them at 90° to each other. The black cap can stay on if you are just repairing the wires or cleaning the box; if you want to clean the mesh, the black cap will need to come off. The box itself is a little bit flexible (quite stiff, but can bend a tiny bit), which may be helpful in preventing the breakage of the plastic tabs that hold things in place.
There is quite a bit of wire inside the box, around 7" total, so if you need to splice the wire inside, it's not a hard thing to do. Seal up the wire afterwards with some hotglue or other adhesive and you will be good to go.
B&W PV1 Subwoofer
encountered same problem. The internal switched power supply consists of 3 parts : +12V(4W), -12V(4W) and +80V (500W). The + 12V circuit supllies the internal amplifier as well as an extra protection circuit (totaling about 4W). This circuit extracts a powerpeak when turned on. This powerpeak is somethimes to high for the +12 V power supply. Rather than soldering on the power supply board, I introduced an extra swithed power supply of 12V, 7W (from a Braun-beard trimmer !). The on board +12V enables the extra supply by means of an optocoupler and a Triac.
