Hello, the error is E197-000 Printer engine communication error Erroneous communication between the DC controller PCB and image processor PCB was detected. - Check the connectors of the DC controller PCB and image processor PCB. - Replace the DC controller PCB for normal connection. - Replace the image processor PCB. E000 errors are usually a bad fuser (also called fixing assembly by canon) You should buy FM4-3367-000 (for US/ Canada / Mexico 110V version.

First clear that error from service mode

That problem indicates that the scanner unit is defective

First verify the socket in the fixing heater is not loose then clear that error form service mode

Try to remove and reinstall the dimm board located in the main controller board . You can wash all the board but with an adequate liquid ( never use water, soap or alcohol) and use a hair dryer after washing the board it must be completely dry before powering up the copier
