coby doesnt not have licensing with google so by default it doesn't come with google play, but an off brand app store. it is feasible to do so but requires some knowledge on how to 'root' the tablet.
While holding down the volume down (-) button, press the power button to turn on the unit. Once you see Coby logo on the screen, you can release the power button, but you still need to keep holding the volume down (-) button until you see Android robot logo on the screen.
The "Android system recovery" menu will appear on the screen. The volume up (+) button is used to scroll up in the menu list, while the volume down (-) button is used to scroll down. The power button is used to select and/or enter an option.
Does anyone actually read the questions before giving an answer? These other 3 answers are useless READ THE QUESTION. I have the EXACT same problem as the Original Poster. There is not a schematic or repair manual available for this model. However, I was able to locate a video walkthrough on youtube for a similar Coby Kyros. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1cun9tzfiFQ. This is difficult to take apart without destroying the plastic - even with the right tools (http://phonebuz.com/images/tool%20case%20opener.jpg). If you use a screwdriver to pry it open, you'll destroy the plastic in the process. There are 4 clips across the top, 4 clips across bottom, and 6 on each side.On our model you have to pry outward on the grey plastic around the edges, and up on the black plastic bezel that surrounds the screen at the same time to release the side clips. At that point you can work around to the top and bottom with a (preferably plastic) pry tool. Guitar pics work well too.The DC Jack is surface mount to the Motherboard,so as long as the jack came off cleanly and didn't rip the contacts off the board, it's pretty easy to re-solder it back on.On mine they tried to glue the jack in place to keep the DC Jack from coming loose, but that jack takes a lot of abuse for how small it is.

im guessing your on a mac, that usually what adds thumbnails. you can use a file explorer that comes with the unit, navigate to the file folder and delete them. or when you copy from a mac, do it from a finder window and not from a program and it will not do that.
This means that the user somehow requested a book from the server that had
already been downloaded. This error is also known as the "410 gone" error, since
the generic response from the server of 410 indicates that the request is no
longer valid.
somewhere near the power/charger hook up should be a little hole that says reset, just take a paperclip or toothpick and push the reset button ..dont worry you wont lose any data or important file

Hello,I had the same problem with my new tablet and I sent it back to Coby and still have not got my new one.The company is sorry as far as I'm concerned. I tracked my tablet and it got to them on Dec. 7th and I still have not got my tablet,no replies from emails, nothing from Coby!!!
I had the same problem! It's not your charger, it's the tablet. Most likely, the soddering came apart on the inside of the tablet, on the part that connects the charging port with some important wires. You can either take the cover off and fix it, but if it's like mine, it'll just come apart again. This is what i did: plug in the tablet, and cross the cord from the right across the screen, to the left, and make sure it's tight. I use a binder clip to make sure it stays and charges. Now try powering it up....that should work :)
I purchased A Coby tablet from Fingerhut and it did the same thing in less then a week and the connection fell inside the device so i returned Their piece of junk... i now have a bigger better one from stoneberry and a smaller Samsung Galaxy 2 from Qvc :)..i pau $60.05 in

not to be mean but often times with those little cheap tablets (I have had a few) the wifi is picky due to cheep part and software(the device).here are some common problems.Does it support the type of network your trying to connect to?is your network key too long? some device dont like itis you network name too long? is your router blocking access?(firewalls, filters, port forwarding, client limits)are you with in 10 feet of the router, wifi on tablet can be limiteddo other device connect to the internet via this methoddo you even have a wireless network of you own?make sure wifi is powered on?hard reset devicethe list of what the issue could be is infinite-Good Luck.
To know your network(internet) IP address from your Tablet visit the site Ip-Details.com . Here they also display the results such as IP location, ISP address, etc...
