Hi there. When connecting a switch, it is important to remember that a switch will only "break" the positive (+) circuit, while the neutral wire will go directly to the battery. So, basically split the red wire coming from your pump and connect the switch to the **** section. Now connect the red wire coming from the switch to the battery and the black wire from the pump directly to the battery negative(-) Hope this helps

If kerosene is specified then because it is a less volatile fuel it wil worrk better just as when you used alcohol.
Petrol is too volatile and might not work well as the kerosene design is on a different grade and specific gravity.
I would suggest if kerosens is not available to try a mix of petrol with alcohol-50-50, Gasahol, it might work well.

radio shack is ususlly a good place to start they have a large selection of hard to find adapters. i would suggest you check and order online, not all stores have everything in stock.
