Assuming you have mains water running to the inlet tap and the tap i is open, the most likely cause is inlet hose connector filter is blocked or the inlet valve inside the washer is faulty. Hopefully you are able to select the wash program and start the wash cycle. Otherwise the problem could not be in the water inlet or elsewhere. Try cleaning out the dispenser compartment as best as you can, then pour some hot water slowly into it (not boiling as it will distort the plastic) It should dissolve the old soap residue and clear the blockage. May take a few tries before it is cleared out.

That could be a pressure switch, or just the hose popped of the pressure switch, the switch is supposed to stop the water when it reaches a certain depth/volume.
