My tablet won't charge.why???please help!!

Is your battery removable? Try removing the battery and then plugging in the tablet. If the tablet runs on only the AC power, then your battery is shot.

Dell Latitude XT2 sound doesnt work 1/2 of the time. Windows 7.

Download and install the drivers from manufacturer website. If you are unable to recognize the device specific drivers then i would suggest to use the driver scanning tool, it will search for the drivers online and will show a list of of device specific updated drivers. You can download the driver scanner tool here:www.DriverScanner2013.net

Delll latitude xt wont restore

Hi kaliyahsherr,

I see that your Dell will not restore to an earlier restore point.

What version of windows do you have on your Dell?

I believe you already did try to do system restore but it did not work right, does it give you an error unable to restore to the selcted restore point, if that is the error then meaning there is a peroblem with that restoration point that you have selcted have you tried a different restore point?

If you did then most probably the system restore program on your windows is having issue restoring the system to any date that you may have on your system restore. if this is the case then the only option would be reinstalling windows starting from scratch.

There is another way to do System Restore on your computer but this is only known to work with Windows XP, I haven't tried with Vista nor Win7 yet.

we do a System Restore in the Command Prompt, see steps below.

> From shut down turn your Computer back on then keep on tapping F8 to select and boot into Safemode in Command Prompt.

> Once in the Command Prompt on the blinking cursor you should type in \windows\system32\restore\rstrui.exe after typing this in it should look like this C:\windows\system32\restore\rstrui.exe, then press Enter.

> After pressing Enter this should show you a list of dates for the restore points highlight a data and time when you want to do the system restore and see if it will work outside windows.

> If this does not work then there is something wrong with Windows and needs to be reinstalled for the fix on your concern.

I hope that this information can be helpful regarding your concern.

Have a nice day,

What is required for internal Cellular SIM

What you need is a laptop/netbook with a 3g modem.some people reckon this is the best way to connect out and about on the train etc.
Only certain models of netbook have them and the net searches just bring back confusing information and duplicate specification information that is wrong or refering to other products--The problem is this seems to be the future technology but the manufacturers are trying to get rid of the old stock that do not have this function,,so they try and confuse the customer into buying the wrong model.
You will need to remove the battery compartment to see if there is a slot for a sim card usually at one end of the compartment.
The HP mini series have one but they dont plug its specification in the advertising bumf, probably because they want to get rid of old stock.Samsung do one --NC10.And asus do a new series with this function but beware,go armed with the correct model you want and make sure the shop assistant is selling you the correct model also-the spec numbers are very similar on some brands

My daughter has a dell latitude x2 tablet. We

Hello dbessey,

High temperatures can cause a computer to shut down, this is done to protect the system from over heating and damaging components. Its possible the battery or some sort of power issue could be the cause, but its hard to know for sure. Its more likely an issue with a fan or vent, possibly even the heatsink that draws heat away from the processor and other components inside the tablet. Check to see if any vents are blocked or clogged with dust, can you hear any fans running? If not then maybe a fan has failed. Is the laptop used in a very dusty or smoky environment? If so there may be excessive dust and tar build up inside the tablet that is keeping it from cooling properly. The best thing to do would be to see if its still covered under a warranty and if they'll fix or replace it. If not, most repair centers will give it a once over and roughly diagnose the issue for free, if they need to take it apart to get a better look a small diagnostic fee may be involved. Personally I don't charge for anything that takes me less than 30mins to diagnose.

Hope this helps, and good luck.

Please leave feedback if you found this to be helpful, thank you.

Cursor opening start menu and other applications

Hi there, there are two possibilities here, one, the touch screen is compressed in 1 or more areas of the screen. two, it sounds like your PC has a prank virus in it that is causing unwanted side-effects. Try booting in safe mode on your tablet PC, and run a full virus scan.

You could be able to enable presentation mode by pressing the "settings" button on the bootom of your display, next to the power button and the "ctrl" and the rotate button. After you press that, your dell control point manager should pop up and then go to the tablet tab on the left and open it. after that, go to the display tab and you should see an option that allows you to turn your presentation mode on.

I own a Dell Latitude XP2 Tablet Notebook. It has

Did it start to get noticeably hot in certain parts of the enclosure? If so, you may have an overheting problem due to a failing fan, or something (dust, lint...) clogging the air circulation ducts and the radiator.
Try listening to the fan and finding out if it's running at full speed when the computer is getting hot, and if air is freely coming out of the air outlet (on the back or side of the unit). You can try compressed air blown in the oposite direction to the air flow (blow into the outlet grill) to blow away dust and particles that may obstruct the radiator and duct.
