650583-6 look for that switch partnumber also ferify it because this is for the model in the netherlands but most time its the same by Makita and its not to expensive will succeed to replace succes. but be careful when pulling out the wires using a thin watch screwdriver to push the unlock holes next to the connector contacts.
My Dewalt DWD460 slows down when I depress the trigger all the way. Why? A bad switch or Module??
If the speed control is the trigger, it is basically pushing the slider of a potentiometer up and down the track varying the control voltage to the speed control module.
Basically it is no different in principle to an old fashioned rotary or in-line volume control and just like a volume control the track can become dirty or wear out in places producing unpredictable and erratic operation.
Sometimes a thorough soaking with switch cleaner will restore the function.
