I can't find any details or even a picture of the rear panel but if it has a digital input attach the source of that HBO movie (cable/sat box) digitally to the Durabrand just as you would any other digital source.

Question edited for clarity. Durabrand is a bargain basement brand as an own label electronics supplier for Walmart and Asda in the UK. They are made in Turkey and China and there is little to no support. Are you using the correct format disc.If you are playing a blu ray disc in a non blu ray player the player will not read the disc

In my experience on modern TV's they do not have stereo audio output sockets any more. You might be mistaking them for some other sockets, used to connect video cameras or projectors. The only sound outputs would either be the optical or HDMI connectors on the TV.
