easy fix, unplug the machine sit in front of it. put your thumb on the on/off button and push down and slip your thumb off of it as fast as you can so it pops real loud. Do this ten times and then plug back in and see if it works. ( this came from talking with Dyson people) Hope it works for you. They said this will reset the machine. also acts as a warning that your filters most likely need cleaned.

You will have to Contact dyson directly, the number is usually located on the main shaft when you remove the canister, most dyson a are guaranteed for 5 years parts & labour inclusive, hope this helps.....

There is a wiring harness inside the hose and if I remember correctly, another external wire from the handpiece to the head. One of them may have a broken or loose wire. You can check each wire with a multimeter.

Hi. It’s either the Main Body or Battery that’s faulty. It’s rare for the main body to fail and quite common for the battery to fail.

Red = flashing 1 to 10 times means needs a new body

Red -= flashing 11 or more times means needs a new battery

On mine, it was the two little wheels on the outer back portion of the vacuum head. Where the red tabs lock in to hold the brush cover in place.

Hi Les, it's Jack at Dyson.

The end of the charger cord assembly which attaches to the machine itself is held in place securely by a friction-fit connection. You should be able to use something like a flat-bladed screwdriver to free the end of the charger cord from the docking station. Then with the docking station removed from the wall, you should be able to disconnect the charger cord completely from the rear of the dock, following the route shown in the image below:

Hi its Darran at Dyson.

With the machine switched off, press the re-set switch on the side of the head, making sure you push the button in as far as you can. When you switch the machine back on and lower it into the vacuuming position, the brush bar should start turning.
