remove the power cord plug from the wall outlet. remove the screwcap covering the brush, remove the brush spring and remaining carbon post. replace by reversing the above steps.

The motor could be burnt out. Check all electrical wires where they enter the saw. Could even be the switch. I feel you have to go on trial and error.

Did you try plugging it into a different plug ? Did you by chance cut your electrical cord? Was it plugged into a GFI receptacle? Might have to reset it or maybe blew a circuit breaker.

Check all electrical wires and switches and plug ins I am wondering if by chance you have burnt out the motor.

Left hand thread. hold blade from turning while placeing wrench on nut (hold firmly) strike wrench quite firmly with hammer.

You've still got a gas/carb problem. Spraying the starter fluid shows you that the engine will run if it has something to combust. When you changed the carb, did you get the gaskets on correctly? There are holes on both ends of the carb that must not be covered with the gasket.

Whatever you are jumpering out is either bad or mis-wired.
