Well, if the battery doesn't fix the problem, send it into fossil. They have a great warranty usually 11-13 years. They will probably send you a brand new watch.

you need to Shortcut the battery with AC contact. AC can be found on the sides of watch movement(very tiny). You have to use pointed tweezers: one end on battery+, another on AC contact for three secs.

I was able to take use a push pin (thumb tack) to get out the (split) pin. I put the thumb tack in the hole of the pin I wanted to remove, place the thumb tack upside down on our counter top and gently but firmly push the pin out. It only has to push out an 1/8 of an inch and then you can pull it the rest of the way. Didn't need all of the fancy tools. (:

You can remove any watchband using a pocket knife trying to get between the back side of the band and the watch. Gently pry sideways until you see the spring-loaded end coming out. Flex the band back from the watch as you do this action.
