What does error code E65 mean on dryer.. does not dry clothes well
Hello Becky;
My name is Peter. I am a retired field service appliance technician.
E65 = High limit thermostat trip count too high.
In other words, you probably have a restricted air flow problem. Your blower will shut down if your plugged up with lint.
In the back of your dryer is a hot air distribution manifold. At the bottom of the manifold is a small round connection. This is generally where the dyer air flow is blocked. There are only a few screws holding it on. Un plug your unit, remove the hot air distribution manifold, Clean the manifold and around the blower wheel. Turn the wheel by hand to ensure it is not stuck and free.
If this is not the problem, get back to me and we will talk about the high temperature thermostat.
FA Stackable Washer / Dryer combo... LINT TRAP FULL / CYCLE STOPS
Question edited for clarity.
I can think of two things.
First wash the lint filter with dish soap and give it a gentle scrub with a plastic pot brush. Fabric softener can gum them up and impede the air flow.
Check the hose at the back for lint build up in the hose itself and in the tube at the back of the dryer. Finally check the flaps on the wall vent for smooth operation and they they are opening fully. If you have the old type with a circular flap, you might even find a birds nest in there!
Although the error light is telling you to clean the lint filter, it is actually registering reduced air flow and an overheat situation.

My Frigidaire oven FGGF3058RFD lost all power after a self clean. the door is still locked, no display and igniters for cook tops don't work.
Yes, never ever use the self clean function on modern ovens. 880-900 degrees to too aggressive. We see ovens broken here all the time, doors locks broken, wiring burnt, elements burned out, control boards frazzled, fans seized.
You need a service call. There is no thermal fuse for obvious reasons, it's an oven.
Self-Clean Ovens
The oven is cleaned by heat, at temperatures above normal cooking temperatures. During the cleaning cycle the oven is heated to about 880 degrees Fahrenheit (471° C.). At this temperature, food soils inside the oven decompose, leaving behind a small amount of ash.
Buy a can of Easy-Off, or use household ammonia. If panels are removable, you can put the parts and the ammonia into a black garbage bag overnight.
Error Code E68 on frigidaire affinity dryer.
Frigidaire Affinity dryer model AEQ7000ESO error code E68 (stuck button). Sometimes a 'stuck button' code really is a stuck button. I took the circuit board off the front panel. On the back side of the front panel, each button has 3 short plastic posts, 2 on one side and 1 on the other. The center part moves to push a longer piece that contacts the circuit board. When I push the top of a front stadium-shaped button, the center plastic piece moves too far, touches the short post, and sticks (maybe due to age). When I push the bottom of the front button, the plastic piece goes far enough to contact the circuit board and not far enough to touch the short post. To prevent a stuck button, we now press the bottom of the front buttons. So far so good. If it happens again, I plan to shave or file a little bit off the top edge of the post to give it more clearance. 1st photo: pencil points to stuck parts. 2nd photo: unstuck parts, 3rd photo: the front of our dryer.
Clean Lint Filter Light Keeps Dryer from starting
Evidently the fuse blew for some reason.
Keep the dryer unplugged from power for one hour or so. If it still does start, you will have to take apart the dryer, check the fuse, check the thermal fuse, and test the wirings inside.
If you need to call arepairman use the number listed on the owner manual.
