I was doing a search for infor on how to clean my affinity front load washer, and came across this infor and this did not work for me either, but when I turned my dial to rinse and spin then hit clean the clean option appeared.

The machine does not exist as you have written it. There are two likely reasons The door switch has failed and hasn't passed the self test procedure. or the control board / timer has failed. Try power cycling it. Remove the mains plug for an hour. It is has an On Off button press it for a minute. For a knob, full it and leave two minutes. Is the motor buzzing or is it buzzing at the console?

it could be the problem but the first thing i would look at is the drain pump and check for anything that may be obstructing it from turning this will cause the washer not to run properly

E91 is for the control board failure and needs to be replaced. Here is the part to order. To replace the board remove the top of the unit.

You have to remove the rubber boot. It is very easy, just pull it off with your fingers. The spring is easy to strech most of the way around by hand, finish with a channel lock etc.

a PAU is just saying the machine quit, unplug it from the wall for a minute and plug it back in, it may reset, let me know
