Galaxy Radio Communications - Recent Questions, Troubleshooting & Support
I have a Roadking the original in chrome how do I wire it for my galaxy 66? It has 5 wires plus the shield wire need to go to a 4 pole plug.
If your radio is a Galaxy DX66V then I believe that the Turner Road King should be wired to the 4 pin plug with:
Pin > Usage > Connection
1 > Ground > Shield & Red
2 > Mic Audio > White
3 > Transmit > Blue
4 > Receive > Black
If you want to confirm the mic wire colors use an ohm meter to test the following:
With the mic button not pressed:
Shield and Yellow are connected together
Red and Black are connected together
Blue is not connected to anything
White is not connected to anything
With the mic button pressed:
Shield and White are connected through the microphone transformer
Red and Blue are connected together
Yellow is not connected to anything
Black is not connected to anything
Hope this helps.
Galaxy DX 2547 Base Station CB Radio. I am showing 100 watts in power mode on it. Why?
Hi Bill, something is wrong with the meter, have you hooked an external power meter to the unit? I assume you get around 12 watt on sideband and 5 on am (legal limit). I didn't pull up a service manual on the unit but generally there is an IC that feeds the meter, get a manual for part number and replace the IC, it's going to be obvious what IC it is with the manual as it will have the outputs going from it
Mic wireing for galaxy 73v
The Galaxy 73V is a CB radio that has a microphone with a four-pin connector. Here are the steps to check the microphone wiring:
- Check the microphone cable: Make sure the cable is not damaged or broken. If the cable is damaged, replace it with a new one.
- Check the microphone pins: Check if the pins on the microphone connector are clean and straight. If they are dirty or bent, clean them or straighten them out.
- Check the microphone wiring: Use a multimeter to check the continuity of the microphone wiring. To do this, set the multimeter to the continuity mode and touch the probes to each of the four pins on the microphone connector. You should hear a beep sound indicating that there is continuity.
- Check the wiring connections inside the radio: Open up the radio and check if the microphone wiring is connected properly. The wiring should be connected to the correct pins on the microphone jack and soldered securely.
- Check the audio circuit: If the wiring is properly connected and there is still low sound, the issue may be with the audio circuit of the radio. In this case, it is best to take the radio to a professional technician for repair.
It is important to note that modifying or tampering with a CB radio is *******, and can result in fines and penalties. If you are not familiar with CB radio repair, it is best to seek the assistance of a professional technician.
On my Galaxy Saturn, I'm getting a carrier on SSB.
- It sounds like you're experiencing an issue with your SSB (Single Sideband) transmission on your Galaxy Saturn radio, where you're getting a carrier signal when you're on SSB mode. One possible solution to this problem is to adjust the carrier balance on your radio.
The carrier balance is a control that adjusts the level of the carrier signal in relation to the sidebands (the audio information) in the SSB transmission. By adjusting the carrier balance, you can eliminate or reduce the carrier signal and improve the clarity of the audio.
The VR (variable resistor) that you need to adjust to adjust the carrier balance depends on the specific model of your Galaxy Saturn radio. It's best to consult the radio's manual or check the schematic diagram to locate the VR that controls the carrier balance.
When you turn your inline amp on, the carrier is amplified to about 700-800 on SSB, which is about 85% of the total output power of the Texas Star DX1200. This can cause distortion on SSB transmission and can cause splatter on the adjacent frequency.
It's important to properly adjust the carrier balance, as well as the power output and microphone gain, to ensure that your SSB transmissions are clean and clear.
It's also recommended to check for any other adjustments such as Microphone Gain and Power output.
It's always recommended to seek help from a professional radio technician if you are unsure or cannot find the VR.
Please note that the information provided is based on my knowledge cut-off date and it may not be current.
I have a Galaxy ssb echo bace, with cw,fm,am,usb, lsb selection nobs.It power's up ok,but no transmit,or receave, please what could be the problum ? I can only guess maby the finals perhaps?
could be a number of problems, final being one of them.Could be a bad match to your antenna . could be a bad transformer or a rectifier . If you have no electronic knowledge take it to a tech a let them work on it. Could save you some money .

How can I connect an expander 500 to a galaxy dx 98vhp?
The setting methods of the wireless extender are similar, but are briefly summarized as follows:
1. Place the wireless extender in a suitable position between the main router and the weak signal area to supply power.
2. The
mobile phone or laptop searches for the signal of the extender and connects the signal.
3. Enter tplogin.cn in the browser to log in to the extender interface and set an administrator password.
4. Follow the setup wizard, scan the signal, select the signal to be expanded, enter the wireless password, and save the settings. (The single-frequency wireless extender only scans the 2.4G wireless signal of the extender, and the dual-frequency wireless router will scan the 2.4G and 5G wireless signals respectively.)
http://121.14.139.246:8082/cms/keditor/themes/common/blank.gif5. After the expansion is completed, observe the indicator light of the wireless extender. Orange or green indicates successful expansion. (If the indicator light is orange, adjust the position of the extender appropriately)
After the expansion is successful, the wireless terminal can connect to the expanded wireless signal to access the Internet. During the movement of the terminal, automatic roaming between the main router and the extender can be realized.
NEED MY GALAXY DX 959 peeked
Find a schematic, watt meter & proper tuning tools first. Now tune or peak the SWR on the coax & antenna used by the radio. The SWR function in the radio may do. When adjusting do so VERY SLOW and only in the RF power out circuit. NO! You don't need a FCC license to do this. May the force be with you.
How do I adjust echo on galaxy saturn base?
Inside of the cabinette there is a small pc board located on the right side of the chasis. It sits vertically and has a metal cover on it. There are 2 potentiometers on the board. One is for depth of echo and the other is for speed)

Wiring a d104 mic to a 98v galaxy mobile
Here are the pinouts for the 4 wire and 6 wire D104 mics. they were great microphones back in the 1980s. I used to have one on my Ten-Tac HF ham radio.
Astatic (4 wire) Astatic (6 wire)
1- Shield 1- Shield & Blue
2- White 2- White
3- Red 3- Red
4- Black 4- Black
Yellow NC
you just need to know what the pin out is for your 10M Radio. here is what each pin is
4 WIRE MIC CABLE
Pin Number
1 Audio Shield
2 Audio Lead
3 Transmit Control
4 Receive Control
here is the manual.
