That will be because the static was at the callers line, not at your end. At this time of year it is water in junction boxes at the caller's residence. If it was on every call, it would be down to your connections.

Remove all the phones on the system. Remove all the handset batteries. Plug in one old style corded phone to the main phone jack, it is normally the one closest to the front door. Do you have dial tone? If not, it is your Telco. If you have a dial tone, plug all the other phones in testing for a dial tone as you go.

Each telephone must be connected to line 1 and line 2 for
proper operation. The remaining lines 3 and 4 may — or may not —
be connected to each station as you desire. First plug in the battery, then the phone lines (1 & 2 are mandatory), and third the power cord. If your intercome LED is blinking red and green, then press: STORE IN, followed by "INTERCOM" followed by a free intercom# (i.e., any of the memory buttons 1 through 16 not already assigned to another telephone set). Then wait for the phone to go through its initiation sequence during which it searches each of the four possible lines. After that concludes, you should get dial tone on your active lines. :-) Marco

A leak coming from the front of a front-load washer is often caused by a damaged or dirty door seal. If the door seal is cracked or loose, it will need to be replaced in order to restore a watertight seal. Always ensure all clothes pockets are empty prior to washing, as objects left in pockets can damage the door seal.

1. Press the flash/prog button until 1ENG 2FRA 3ESP shows in the display.
2. Use the Caller ID/vol ( + or - ) button or the handset number pad to select 1 (English), 2 (French), or 3 (Spanish). The default setting is 1ENG.
3. Press the flash/prog button to confirm and to advance to the next menu feature.

Line in use means another phone is being used. If you have more than one phone, the second phone is off the hook or someone is already using the phone. Check all phones and be sure they are hung up.

If you mean the long-life lithium backup battery for the corded 2-line GE 2-9421 (A indicating the sales region), that is a 3V Lithium battery. The part number 5-1923 appears to be a common CR2032 coin cell battery. These are used as backup batteries for Eraseable Programmable ROM on many devices, including computers.. I had the same problem. What worked for me, after several unsuccessful registration attempts, was to disconnect the phone handset battery for about 1 min and then reconnect the battery. Run the handset registration procedure again. It registered for me on the first attempt after the battery reinstall. Good luck.

Probably you wont be able to change password without erasing all messages. That is the point of having security code

1 - Lift the receiver and get the dial tone.
2 - Hit 'Store'
3 - Enter the number you wish to store in the phone
4 - Hit the store button again
5 - Hit the memory button you wish to store the number into
6 - Hang up!

This should store the number wherever you want to put it. Remember if you want to store it in one of the 'lower' positions (second line of the memory index card) push the 'Shift' button before you push the memory button for that location.
