I'm having a similar problem. I've used mine quite often a few years ago and went to use it recently and now no steam. I've taken my fcl-ss167 apart and there is a water filter inside the base. The water filter may be too full of calcium carbonate to pass water. The water filter is removable but I have not yet found one to replace it.

There are no user serviceable parts in this device. unplug it for 2 minutes- make sure the reservoir is filled with water, and the power is off- plug it in and turn thee power on- wait for the ready light to illuminate and try to use it. good luck https://www.6ya.com/mrmmike

Aply colgate on the surface of the iron, waite few minutes for it to stick thoroughly then srub it off with a cloth. It comes off with the dirt..

You are probably not holding the iron the right way! Don’t hold the iron upside down, or don’t put too much water in at a time. Make sure that the heat on iron is turned up hot enough to burn the water fast enough so it doesn’t leak.

The display is flashing constantly? It likely has a "defective" thermal fuse, same junk part that fails in perfectly good coffee makers.

Is it a power on light? an illuminating instrument light? Many of these units have gas-filled (Neon) type lights in them and when they start to fail they flicker most times before they go completely. Not to worry though it doesn't mean the unit itself is failing. If it is the light you'll just have to do as my mother did back in the day and lick the tip of your finger and quickly tap the face (Hot Part) If hot it will make a sttt sound.

Most likely it is a broker electrical wire that makes random contact ( in / out) when the iron is being moved. You may have to disconnect the iron, take the upper covers out, look for broker wires and replace the wire

Since the new iron does not have a cleaning button, use distilled water only. Also, cleaning with a mild vinegar solution will help keep it in good shape. Just be sure and rinse the solution out.

Marion, I've scoured the internet and I am stumped. I'd call Walmart or someone that sells them and see if they've got one laying around or email the company.

it is defective. you should not use a steam press (make and model unknown) when it has a leak and water could possibly contact the electric power circuit. this could be a life threatening health issue.

I looked ours up online just put make and model in that should help unless you mean how to actually IRON good luck I'm still learning

I'd take it back unless it's old . It's prolly getting to hot .If it is an old one prolly on its last leg just saying

It is supposed to shut off at the temperature you select. The thermostat does that.
