I have a genie screw
If the motor is jumping in the closed position then something is likely causing a safety stop. The two reasons most commonly are that something is blocking the sensor or the torque is too high. As the door will open Torque is not the probable cause. It is likely something in the protective door block circuit preventing it from going closed. If you press and hold the close button will the door close momentarily? If so then there is definitely something telling it that it is not safe for it to close. If neither of those Solutions work then you probably have a circuit failure which was the cause of the fuse failure in which case the solution is to replace the genie.
Replacement motor bearings for a genie shop vac/blower
model# pb 15
Unfortunately those machines do not have serviceable bearings. The entire motor needs replaced. However, I have saved noisy bearings by putting oil on them, specifically 3 in 1 Blue Label motor oil. A few drops spread on the top and bottom of the bearings and giving the motor a few backward and forwards turns by hand will help those bearings immensely.
Where can I find a filter for genie sv300q?
I have the Genie 3000 which is a 20 gal. wet/dry vac with a 3.0 HP motor. I had bought at Home Depot some 20+ years ago. I bought a replacement filter at HD made by someone other than Genie and claiming to fit my model...but it did not fit...too loose to stay in place. I did track down some hypo filters that might fit...but at $28+ for the filter I decided it was time to get a new model with better and cheaper and available filters. I bought a Ridgid WD1451 14 gal with 6.0 HP. It is so much nicer and quieter. HD regularly carries the WD1450 for $99 or so. The WD1451 is the same model but also had the car vac hose and attachments (a $40 set) included for free. That was a limited offer probably no longer available. Get you a new one and enjoy it...I did...and I still have the Genie...but I think I'll toss it because it is too big, too loud, and I love this new Ridgid.
