How do i remove the program selector knob from a hoover washing machine DYN9164DPG
To remove the program selector knob from a Hoover washing machine DYN9164DPG, please follow these steps:
- Unplug the washing machine from the power source.
- Locate the small metal tab located underneath the program selector knob.
- Use a flathead screwdriver to gently pry up the metal tab.
- Pull the program selector knob off the machine.
The metal tab acts as a locking mechanism to keep the knob in place, so be sure to pull the knob straight off the machine once the tab has been released. If you encounter any resistance, double-check that the metal tab is fully released before attempting to pull the knob off again. Once removed, you should be able to access and replace the selector switch.
Hoover dynamic next tumble dryer beeping, stopping, starting, condensation on the glass. Still getting hot
It sounds like your tumble dryer may be experiencing some kind of issue with its sensor system or control board. The beeping and stopping and starting could indicate a problem with the sensors that detect moisture levels in the dryer, which can cause the machine to think that the clothes are dry when they are not. This can also cause the condensation to build up on the glass.
Another possibility is a problem with the control board, which can cause the dryer to behave erratically or stop functioning properly. If you have already cleaned out the lint and checked all of the mechanical parts, it may be time to call a professional repair service to diagnose and fix the issue. They will have the tools and expertise to identify the root cause of the problem and repair or replace any damaged parts.
My Hoover Power Dash Pet Carpet Cleaner. It smells like burning rubber!
It is not recommended to continue using your Hoover Power Dash Pet Carpet Cleaner if it smells like burning rubber. This could be a sign of a serious problem, such as a motor issue or a malfunctioning part, and continuing to use it could result in further damage or even a safety hazard.
It's best to stop using the cleaner immediately and unplug it from the power source. You can then try to diagnose and fix the problem yourself, or take it to a professional for repair.
If you need to remove excess water from your carpet, you can try using towels or a wet/dry vacuum to soak up the moisture. However, keep in mind that using a damaged or malfunctioning cleaner may not effectively clean your carpets and could potentially cause more damage.
My hoover washing machine stopped working but is displaying padlock symbol but the padlock isn't locked correctly and it's not opened as well
The padlock symbol on your Hoover washing machine indicates that the child lock feature is activated. This feature is designed to prevent children from accidentally starting the machine or changing the cycle during operation. If the padlock symbol is displayed but the padlock is not locked, it's possible that there's a malfunction with the child lock system.
To resolve this issue, try pressing and holding the "Start/Pause" button for several seconds until the padlock symbol disappears. If this doesn't work, try unplugging the machine from the power source for a few minutes and then plugging it back in. This may reset the machine and allow you to deactivate the child lock.
If neither of these solutions work, consult the user manual or contact Hoover customer service for further assistance.
Hoover FH50150 Power Scrub Deluxe Carpet Cleaner. How to replace the handle release on it please?
The FH50150 model is a Hoover Power Scrub Deluxe Carpet Cleaner, which features a handle release button that is used to adjust the handle's height and fold the machine for storage. If the handle release button is broken or damaged, it may need to be replaced.
Here are the steps to replace the handle release on a FH50150 model:
- Unplug the machine from the power source and remove the solution tank and recovery tank.
- Lay the machine on its back, so that the underside is facing upwards.
- Locate the handle release assembly at the base of the machine's handle. It will have a rectangular shape and a small metal spring inside it.
- Using a pair of pliers, gently remove the metal spring from the handle release assembly and set it aside.
- Next, remove the handle release button by pressing on the two tabs that secure it to the assembly. You may need to use a flathead screwdriver to push the tabs inward.
- Once the button is removed, slide the old handle release assembly out of the handle.
- Take the new handle release assembly and slide it into the handle, making sure that it is securely in place.
- Attach the new handle release button to the assembly by pushing it in until it clicks into place.
- Finally, insert the metal spring back into the assembly, making sure it is positioned correctly.
- Test the handle release to ensure it is working properly.
- Once you are satisfied that the handle release is working correctly, replace the solution tank and recovery tank, plug in the machine, and you're ready to use it again.
If you are unsure about any of these steps, it is recommended to consult the user manual or contact the manufacturer for assistance.
How do you fit exhaust seal, filter & grill on Hoover Heritage 5011 All-rounder?
At the review page link, someone has had same problem with filter, etc coming off.
https://www.productreview.com.au/listings/hoover-heritage-5011
Excerpt:
the filter falls out on one of the wheels every time I use it, and the head section either falls out while you're using it, or it's so tight you can't separate it to put it away."
Seems this discontinued model falls into category of something works till it doesn't,
there are good and bad reviews on the 5011
Maybe a Jerry rig with color or eye pleasing quality duct tape (a dog eared tab is a much used fix) or reusable cable tie, has knots/balls that slide into a notch, Mouser electronics, or a 10 to 14 gauge insulated wire or modern equivalent twist tie.
Why is liquid leaking from my Hoover Wind Tunnel Mach 6.9?
If liquid is leaking from your Hoover Wind Tunnel Mach 6.9 vacuum cleaner, it could be due to a few different issues. Here are some possible causes and solutions:
- Blockage: A blockage in the vacuum's hose or air passages can cause liquid to build up and leak out. Check the hose and air passages for any debris or blockages and remove them if necessary.
- Damaged seal: The seal on the vacuum's dustbin or canister may be damaged, causing liquid to leak out. Inspect the seal for any damage or wear and replace it if necessary.
- Clogged filter: A clogged filter can cause liquid to build up and leak out. Clean or replace the filter if it is dirty or clogged.
- Faulty motor: If the vacuum's motor is faulty, it can cause liquid to leak out. Have the motor inspected by a professional and replace it if necessary.
- Leak in the tank: If the vacuum has a tank, check if there is any leak or crack on it. If the tank is leaking, it needs to be replaced.
Hoover SteamVac brushes aren't turning ...
Sometimes this speed knob can be really stuck on there. Even if you were to break off the part that the knob sits onto, this part is actually part of the turbine assembly, and the new turbine assembly would have that prong that the button sits on.
As long as you have the screwdriver underneath of the knob, I wouldn't worry to much about putting too much pressure on it.
Let me know if you still have any questions, I'll be happy to help you figure it out.
If you found this helpful, please be so kind to rate the repair that I wrote, or leave feedback.
