Talked to customer service. Thanks for the number. They so not make these remotes any more. But You do not need to buy a new jumper just remove the same jumper number from the ceiling fan. this is a very easy fix. Please do not buy a new seiling fan. You can even remove all the jumpers from the remote. Just make sure you remove all of them from both remote and ceiling fan.

you may have two dedicated ceiling fan circuits coming out of that box, check to make sure theres not a black wire bunched up in the ceiling or cut off, or try this

1.white to white wires, and black wire and black with a white stripe to red wire out of ceiling for fan and light together operation

2. If you can find the black and the red and the white coming out of the ceiling then you may have two switches on the wall for that fan, red for black fan wire, black with white stripe for the to black out of the ceiling , white all together. try that combination
for separate light and fan control from the wall

There should have been a small lead weight kit that came with your fan. First check to make sure all the screws are on tight and clean the blades from any dust buildup. Make sure your blades aren't warped. If they are, you cannot balance your blades and will need to buy new ones. See if that helps. If you don't have the lead kit you may be able to buy one at your hardware store. You can also measure the end of the blades to the ceiling to see if one is warped or heavier than the others. You can also remove the blades to see if it's the actual motor assembly that is out of balance.

The most important thing about installing a ceiling fan is to use the proper ceiling box, one that is approved and very firmly fastened to the ceiling joists. If this is not done and the fan is only attached to an existing ceiling box, it may end up being out of balance and wobbling, not to mention being very dangerous.

Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the remote for your Noma ceiling fan:

This problem was posted on several sites, but this was the only one where I found both the cause of the problem and the solution. Mine is a Hunter 5 Minute Fan which came with no remote. And after about a month the two lights would blink together whenever I'd turn them on at the wall. So in case it helps for that type of fan or the same type of wiring arrangment here is what I did: POSITIVE SIDE: P1) Remove the light shade. P2) Remove the 3 screws that hold the cowel and lower the cowel. P3) Disconnect (pull apart) the black and red wire coupling. P4) Cut the coupling off of the black wire that comes up from the lights. P5) Strip off a quarter inch of jacket from that black wire. P6) Remove the wire nut that connects the black wire coming from the governor with the other black wire. P7) Re-use the wire nut to connect the black wire from step P5 with the other black wire from step P6. NEGATIVE SIDE: N1) Disconnect (pull apart) the white to white wire coupling. N2) Cut the coupling off of the white wire that comes up from the lights. N3) Strip off a quarter inch of jacket from that white wire. N4) Remove the wire nut that connects the white wire coming from the governor with three other white wires. N5) Set the governor aside (or just throw it away). N6) Re-use the wire nut to connect the white wire from step N3 with the other white wires from step N4. That's all, you're pretty much done! Turn on the power and test the light. If all is good, re-install the cowel and the light shade.

They are stocked in the Home Depot lighting department as part of a lamp making kit or as spares. I have one in my garage as part of a drop lighter I found in a waste skip at Bell Canada. :>D

I had this exact problem. I bought two Home Decorator fans from Home Depot and installed them in separate rooms in my house. They have LED lights. I know for a fact that I wired them right because the model fan in Home Depot fan was wired the same and my remote worked perfectly with that fan. Both fans at my house had the same issue of the light not turning all the way off but dimming worked and fan speeds worked. LONG story short, I had another fan in the Master Bedroom that was turned on. When I turned the power to that fan off (wall switch toggled to off), both of the new fans worked!!! Now I need to figure out how to wire the Master bedroom fan correctly (9 wires in one box) but at least I know what the issue was!

the reciever is under the cover for your fan to the ceiling. Try pulling the switches on you fan then using the remote after each try. then check your wall switches,,, it could be wired to one.

First, take a picture or label the wires with the number and position they are in; then cut the wires close to the old switch, strip them back about a half inch, and insert them in the proper slots in the new switch. I've done that, and I'm about to reconnect the switch and capacitor to the motor.
