I am replacing my thermostat to a Hunter 44905 thermostat Can you tell me where my four wires goes into the hunter, from the wall is red, white ,green and blue.
Unfortunately, the time to check where the wires go was when you removed them from your old thermostat. You need to match the pattern of the original thermostat to the HVAC (heat pump, furnace or other) system. Try going to your HVAC system's main inside box and opening the cover. Try to find the wiring connections to the control board. (This will be inside of the filter on most systems.) Take a picture or otherwise record which color wire goes to which letter terminal. I do not expect the wiring color pattern to be consistent over all the different types of heating and cooling systems installed by different companies.
In the package with your new thermostat, you may probably have little adhesive labels with lettering like Y, G, Rh, Rc, W. Take the appropriate label and secure it to the matching color wire as noted at the control board of the HVAC system. Then connect the wires to the matching letter locations on the new thermostat. (Modify any jumpers on the thermostat based on the installation directions.)
I hope this helps.

(I know that on my system (gas furnace and A/C forced air), there is an outside cover, the filter, and then an interior cover to access the control board. The board is near the bottom of the compartment.)
