We put in 2 fans

Are these box fans that you are trying to form a wind tunnel effect? If so, you be better off building "tunnel" for them. What seems to work the best (a poor man's air conditioner) is to build a push - pull tunnel with high volume fans. If you mount a drip system with a fabric (like filter material) where water saturates the fabric and then is exhausted out towards your tennis courts.

BUT you need large high volume fans for this to be effective for more than just a few feet away from the unit. BUT then it might also affect the tennis balls on the court. So it depends on what your objective is. If it is to keep watchers cool then it would work, if it is to cool the players then it could also affect the "play"!

Note: Camoflage neting is an effective way to shade something but not affect airflow.

Hunterfan 44260 blowing cold air and flashing 4 blower keeps turning on and its not flowing a normal cycle, they are short turning off and then on again

The "4" only indicates which program is currently running. This thermostat does not display furnace error codes. In a heating system that uses hot wire ignition for natural gas or propane, this behavior may indicate the furnace failed to detect a flame when the cycle starts. You may get warm air briefly, but because the flame detector isn't working, the system shuts down. After a while, it purges any gas and tries again. The controller board in the furnace may have an indicator light that flashes an error code - look for a label on the access panel that describes what it means. One common cause of this problem is a buildup of contaminants on the flame sense rod (often the same rod that heats red-hot to ignite the gas). Turn off the power to the furnace, wait for it to cool, then inspect the rod. If it has a whitish film on it, clean that off with Scotch-Brite (TM) or similar product (don't use sandpaper). The flame sensor works by measuring a tiny electrical current through the flame. A buildup of combustion products on the sensor blocks this current.Warning: if you are not absolutely certain about which part is what in the furnace, don;t take any chances, call in a professional. This is a critical gas safety component.

I bought a house with

To change the time, press Hour once. Then press and hold Hour to until it reaches the correct one (pay attention to the AM/PM notation). Do the same with the Min and Day buttons. Press Return when done. (The thermostat will leave return to the normal mode after 10 seconds without a button press.)

Now to set the program, set the switch to heat or cool depending on which you want to program first. Press Prog (this will program M-F settings) then press and hold Hour until the time you want Prog 1 to start. Press the Up or Down arrows to get to the temperature you want to reach and stay for this period. Press Prog again and use the Hour/Min/Up/Down keys to set the time and temperature for next period. Repeat for program 3 and 4 for weekdays. Press Prog again to do the same thing for the 4 possible weekend program segments. Any time left at 0:00 results in a program being skipped.

Press Prog to set the Program. These settings will not take effect until the next time change in the program. You can review the settings by pressing Prog and scrolling through the settings.

Change the switch to the other setting and repeat the programming if your system has both AC and heat.

If you want to press the AutoProg button the thermostat will use preset times and temperatures. For Heating that is 5 am 68, 7 am 60, 3 pm 68, 10 pm 62. For cooling it is 5 am 78, 7 am 85, 3 pm 78, 10 pm 82.

For more information, you can get the manual from Hunter: http://www.hunterfan.com/Support/Manuals-and-Parts-Guides/ , just enter the model number in the Search line.

I hope this helps.

Replace ignitor for hunter gas fireplace hfs40cv-3

Hi Vikki, Do you hear a clicking noise when go to turn on the fire? if not, then it's probably the battery that's flat. Most ignitors need a battery to make them work. There not easy to find either, they tend to tuck them away in the most awkward places. If you pull the front grate off and using a torch, you'll have to have a look around and see if you can see the back of the battery. Pull this out and replace. If you wan't to see how it's done, put in your search engine your question: Replace ignitor for hunter gas fireplace hfs40cv3, When the results come up, go down to the 7th result which should be "youtube" and click on that. This will take you to the demonstration. Hope this helps! David

We put in a hunter thermostat and now our central air conditioning unit is blowing cold air with the heater on.

Susan, This means that the new thermostat is wired wrong. You did not post the make and model of the new one, the old one and possible the furnace and we need those in order to check your wiring and compatibility.
