QuickBooks attempts to change a damaged transaction or record, you may receive a fatal or unexpected error that contains the value C=44. The C= value in the message indicates the type of error the program has encountered. Typical causes include system lockups and power failures while using QuickBooks. To resolve this issue:

1. In QuickBooks, select the Window menu and select Close All.
2. Select the File menu and select Utilities >Verify Data.
3. If the message "Your data has lost integrity" appears, or the error also occurs while running Verify, select the File menu and select Utilities > Rebuild Data.
4. When the Rebuild utility has completed, run the Verify utility again to ensure that all problems have been corrected (see step 2).
5. If the error persists after rebuilding, restore a recent backup that does not generate the error.

Note: Make sure the QuickBooks CD is in the computer's CD drive so that damaged files are properly repaired. To resolve this error: Refer to Repair an existing QuickBooks installation for steps to repair the installation.

• Reapply the product update.

Locate the default installation folder (typically: C:\Program Files\Intuit\QuickBooks [version]).

1. Right-click the default installation folder and choose Rename.
2. Rename the folder by entering old at the end of the folder name.
3. Remove and reinstall QuickBooks, being sure that QuickBooks is installed to the local hard drive.
4. Open QuickBooks.

Quickbooks requires the Microsoft .Net framework. Error 1935 indicates that this is either not installed, or the wrong version is installed. Take a look at the box to find out which is required (1.0, 2.0, or 3.5) and do a Google search for that (Example: .Net 3.5 Download). When in doubt, install the latest (3.5).

Sounds like you have the QuickBooks Database manager running or the Quick Connect feature still installed and/or turned on. Check and see if this is the problem by going to start and then programs and see if it says QuickBooks anywhere. If it does, slide over to see which of the two listed above are on. Then go to your control panel and uninstall the program. Double check to make sure the "quickbooks" catagorey disappears from your programs and then install the new version you wish to keep.

Sounds like your re-installation of QB did not update your registry files properly.

I would suggest:
1) make a backup of your data
2) uninstalling QB
3) delete the QB installation folder entirely
4) re-install QB
5) restore your data
