The E1 error usually indicates that the inverter has failed due to an over-current condition. Check the two protection fuses in the unit (with the unit powered down), and replace any blown fuses. If the protection fuses are not blown, the inverter may require service by a technician.

The biggest difference between inverter and non-inverter AC is the fact that the motor of the inverter compressor has a variable speed. The speed of the non-invertor compressor is fixed. This means that it operates either at full or minimum speed. A censor in the invertor adjusts the power according to the temperature in the room, lowering the electrical consumption and saving energy. Due to the sophisticated operational method of the invertor, its compressor does not work at its full capacity all the time. When the speed is lower, the needed energy is lower too and you pay less money for electricity. As the compressor motor of the inverter air conditioner does not turn on and off all the time, but keeps working at low power, the operation is more quite. The technology of the inverters not only makes cooling and heating more efficient, but it also makes the AC's life longer. Last but not least, the inverter AC is able to cool or heat your room faster than the non-inverter. This is due to the fact that in the beginning of the process, the inverter uses more power than the non-inverter and diminish the power when it gets close to the desired temperature. Hi i am aircon tech, the problem of e5 is fan capacitor & relay connected the fan motor.

I'm not finding that model but yes, unlikely, if two separate outdoor units that both are damaged. Either there simply isn't one and the configuration is not right or the connection is loose or sensor is not secure. The Sharp e1 problem is a timer that is pretending to demand that you clean the filter. It stops the machine every 720 hours and forces you to do a procedure to get it to go away.

There are 2 possible procedures.

1) Unplug the machine. Hold down the power button while you plug the machine in and wait for a beep about 5 seconds long. Let go of the power button. Unplug the machine. Plug it back in.

2) Unplug the machine. Hold down the mode button while plugging the machine back in and waiting for a beep of about 3 seconds duration. Let go of the mode button. The machine will start. Turn the machine off by pressing the power button. Resume trying to use the machine normally.

If these don't work, the "demand to clean filter" timer is broken and you will need to buy parts to repair the machine.
