Kitchenaid 4KSM90ER lever latch has lost its knob. Have new part WP9709280 and need installation instruction.

Honestly the easiest way by far is to put the metal shaft of the new one into a vice and with 2 screwdrivers carefully lever it off and then with a soft hammer tap the knob onto the original shaft. If you want to do it by replacing the whole arm and knob you will have to split the gear cases.

KitchenAid jumped of work top and now the motor head does not sit straight and it wobbles. Thanks

It sounds like it's been seriously damaged. I would suggest taking it to a repair shop.

My hinge pin came out of my Kitchenaid Classic . I removed the set screw and the slot appears to have warped. I tapped with a hammer and still not going in this hole.

Try pushing the pin in from the other side, forcing it in is better than making the hole any bigger as a loose pin will allow head wobble when mixing. Get the pin thru the pedestal without the motor, then get the pin through the motor neck then put them together and get the pin thru both parts. You need to have the locking lever in the release position to do this more easily. Make sure the pin isn't damaged on the end. It shouldn't be damaged on both ends unless you've been abusing it.

Kitchenaid artisan the stir speed goes high around 27 cycles each 10 seconds.. Changed the control plate and the phase board and tried to adjust the screws and it stays the same! Help me please I don't have assistance in my country..

Sorry, that answer was for someone else. The only things I've seen to cause high speed running are out of adjustment screws at the top or the bottom of your control plate or the phase board. Start point for the top screws is 8 full turns in from being not even in the hole (both sides) and on speed 1 the bottom screw does not even touch that step in the flat rod that activates the switch and moves the control plate.

I have a Kitchenaid artisan with a broken speed control plate..how can i troubleshoot the origin of the problem?

Have a look and see if the governor has flown apart, that's the brass thing on the end of the armature that activates the contacts on the control plate. Otherwise you are going to need to expand on how old the machine is and exactly what "broken" means.

I was using meat grinder

I just got the same problem too. There was a little piece of fat in the meat and it stopped the grinder. I removed it but the attachment rotates a full turn and then stops. The same happens with other attachments even under practically no load.

Can't remove beater from mixer...

I took the advice from: http://forum.kitchenaid.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=6356
I put a wash cloth in a pot of boiling water and used tongs to wrap it around the beater shaft while the mixer was resting on its side. When the wash cloth was not too hot to touch, I put it back in the boiling water and did it again. I was then able to easily remove the beater.

How do I replace the

I normally CAREFULLY drill a small hole thru the centre of the brush and get it out with a hooked probe. The brass square sleeve that the brush goes into can slide out with the brush. Make sure that doesn't happen because if it does you'll be splitting the cases to get the brush holder wire back where it belongs.

I accidentally touched the beaters of my Oster

Generally the problem is only the beaters. They may no longer be aligned in a perpendicular line and are slightly bent, just enough to make them click. You may have to replace the beaters to get satisfaction.

Motors continue to go out. No notice or anything,

When you say that the "motor's continue to go out," do you mean that the motor itself stops working or that the motor still runs but the beater stops turning? These are two different problems. Take a look at this Service Manual which is correct for your model and see if it helps: http://www.kitchenaidparts.eu/documents/pdf/service-manual/classic-svc-manual-new-email-version.pdf

My kitchenaid professional mixer will not run.

The Service Manual for your mixer can be found at: http://www.kitchenaidparts.eu/documents/pdf/service-manual/classic-svc-manual-new-email-version.pdf Among the causes for the mixer not turning on are (in no particular order) -- The leaf-spring switch on the Control Plate is not making contact. The Phase Board is defective. Brushes need replacement. Brush chamfered side not correctly oriented. Bad armature or field coil. Seized motor bearing. Detached or broken Control Board spring. Speed Control Link plastic end broken.

I removed the beater to bowl screw. how do i fix it?

Hi Mary, There is no such thing as a beater to bowl screw. If you screw the beater to the bowl then it cannot turn without also turning the bowl. Here's a link to an exploded view https://www.manualslib.com/manual/413887/Kitchenaid-Kt2651xww.html
